Dark magenta in color, this wine opens up with aromas of dark chocolate, dried plum, marionberry, and a hint of white pepper and clove. The palate is well-balanced and robust with notes of tart cherry, raspberry, wild bramble, and crushed violet. Remarkable depth and concentration complement rich tannins and lead into a smooth, medium finish.
Pair with roasted pork loin with thyme and garlic, caramelized mushroom flatbread, or tuna tartare.-Winemaker Notes
For Elouan, the fruit is brought together from three distinct terrains along Oregons premiere Western vineyards which harmonize beautifully when blended as one. The diversity of these cool climate areas combined with an elongated growing season creates wines with vibrant fruit flavors, intensity and richness with refreshing acidity.-Winery Notes

About Elouan
Elouan, the result of California winemakers venturing up to Oregon, one of the world's renowned Pinot Noir regions. The goal: to produce Pinot Noir with depth of flavor, vibrancy and suppleness. For this wine we brought together fruit from three regions along Oregon's coast: Willamette, Umpqua and Rogue Valleys, which harmonize beautifully when blended together. The diversity of these cool climate areas combined with an elongated growing season creates wine with intense structure, while maintaining a vibrant acidity that differentiates it from Pinot Noirs from other regions.

"Very good juice for the price point, and it being from Oregon is a bit more restrained than a California Pinot Noir. I've had a number of bottles of this wine that were difficult to open due to the screw top being defective. Good wine, poor closure."
