James Suckling 91
Aromas of blackberry, black olive, figs and blueberry follow through to a full body, round and silky tannins and a delicious, dry finish. Lovely fruit, austere character. Typical high quality carmenere. Drink now.
Vinous Media 90
Opaque ruby. Smoky cherry, cassis and dried rose on the pungent nose. A suggestion of mint comes up with air and adds an edge to the wine's fleshy dark fruit flavors. Dusty tannins give shape to the finish, which lingers with very good spicy persistence. I'd have guessed that there was some Cabernet in here.
