"A 75/25 blend of red-skinned baga and white bical, this is a rich sparkler that brings to mind a shellfish broth with its vibrant salinity and a raspberry mousse with its supple, refreshing fruit flavors. It’s creamy, with plenty of acidity and bubble to finish on a lovely, clean fragrance. Pour it with grilled langoustines or other rich shellfish.”

"There is no dosage on this lightly pink, beautifully made wine. It has fresh crisp fruit, just hinting at raspberry, floating easily to its final fresh finish."

The Wine
The 3B (Baga 70%, Bical 30%, from an Atlantic region beginning with B… Bairrada) was born the desire to create an aromatic traditional-method sparkling wine– refreshing, honest, and elegant, based on indigenous grapes from vineyards that respect the region’s tradition. 30-year-old vines planted on sand over clay-limestone

Winemaking
The grapes are harvested by hand and pressed gently. The wine ferments with indigenous yeasts in cask of 650 liters and stainless steel vats at temperatures below 16 º C.

The Estate
Passion for the traditional indigenous grape varietals of Bairrada and Dão lead Filipa Pato to start her own project in 2001. This project consists of working on a total of 12 hectares of vineyards scattered in various plots throughout the Bairrada region of Portugal. Utilizing biodynamic farming practices and minimal-intervention winemaking, Filipa and her husband, Belgian sommelier and restaurateur William Wouters, produce Vinhos Autênticos Sem Maquilagem – ‘Authentic Wines Without Makeup.’
