"A less ripe vintage with cooler than usual harvest temperatures led to restrained but balanced wines. Fruit components developed at a slower pace with pronounced acidity developing into a wine with solid acidic structure and integrated fruit and oak character. Cabernet Sauvignon in the vineyard was showing challenges with ripening, but with patience we found a sweet spot to pick the grapes that led to a balanced, elegant wine. 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Cabernet Franc, 10% Malbec, 9% Petit Verdot 8% Merlot. Girard WineryAt Girard, we are passionate about wine. We are dedicated to the land. And we are proud to call Napa Valley our home.
Girard Winery began in 1975 as a dream of a father-son duo nestled at the top of Pritchard Hill with panoramic views of Napa Valley. The two shared a passion for high quality wines, a respect for the Valley's rich history and a pioneering spirit. 25 years later, another vintner with the same passion for winemaking and roots deep in the Napa Valley is continuing the Girard legacy.
