Item Description

"This "crazy value" Napa Cab was sourced from a couple of top "Cult" wineries in the Valley (SHHH...their wines sell for between 75-150/bot!). Deep, rich and plush with classic Napa Cab fruit, it drinks like a wine costing 2-3 times as much! Hardin Cabernet Sauvignon is a combination of top valley floor and hillside sites. It's a blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc aged in French oak (20% new) for about 22 months. Deep, intense, plum, dark cherry and spice are prevalent right away on the nose and palate. Rich and powerful on the palate, with minerality, balancing structure and a vibrant, fresh core that lifts the fruit and carries the wine. A classic Napa Cab that will drink well for many years!

The first Hardin Cabernet Sauvignon (2003) was discovered on a trip to California. The wine was sourced from one of Napa Valley's long time "cult" producers. Basically, we found ourselves in Napa at the right time, and were able to taste and buy a small lot of this top, top quality wine. Following the blow-out success of the first effort, we have continued to comb Napa Valley to find small lots of truly amazing wine to blend together to make a spectacular, over-achieving wine each year. Because we are sourcing directly from these top estates, we are able to make one of the absolute best values in the market for Napa Cab!"~Distributor Notes
