"Extremely well balanced and appetizing, this screw capped wine combines absolutely fresh black-cherry flavors with mild oak accents and energizes them with good fruit acidity and moderate tannins. It is medium to full bodied, and will make a lively pairing with a variety of dishes."~JG

Hayes Valley

View all from Hayes Valley
Hayes ValleyLocated in the northern Central Coast of California, the lore of Hayes Valley extends back to the days of missionaries and the historic El Camino Real. The land was planted with wine grapes in the late 1800's, but the vineyards eventually succumbed to Prohibition. Agriculture was restored to the Valley in the late 1990's with the planting of new vines. The Hayes Valley is an ideal climate for growing grapes--cool, foggy nights followed by warm sunny days. Hayes Valley Wines are grown and produced at Clos LaChance Estate Vineyards and Winery in California's Northern Central Coast, which was one of the first 17 certified sustainable wineries in California. The winery is committed to producing the best quality wine possible while protecting the environment and conserving natural resources. As a family-owned and operated winery, it is important for Clos LaChance to maintain the long-term viability of the land for future generations.

"A solid correct cab with smooth medium tannin. Allow to breath to bring out warm tones"

"I'm generally not a cabernet fan, but this one is nice on the palate - not too dry."

Great bargain Cab!

"Hard to find a decent Cab for under 15 dollars, this one was great for 11. Good every day drinker in my opinion."

"Last time I tried this was over a year ago. But I am not liking this vintage. Pretty weak, no real complexity. I guess it taste like an under 10 bottle. I would not recommend as there are many at this price point that are better. Or maybe I just got a bad bottle? I will update after trying it again as I bought a few. Oh well..."
