"Also outstanding, the 2013 Yakima Valley Cabernet Sauvignon checks in as a blend of 91% Cabernet and 9% Cabernet Franc, all of which spent 23 months in new French oak. As with the Dubrul Vineyard, it was harvest all in October. Menthol, cassis, black cherries and incense all emerge from this medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated 2013 that has ripe tannin, good mid-palate depth and notable purity. It should drink beautifully over the coming decade."
"The nose opens with ripe huckleberry, black currants, and blackberry jam, supported by a backdrop of fennel and basil. Balanced on the palate with ripe tannins and well-integrated acidity. Finishes bright and clean with vibrant fruit. Fermentation: cold soaking with daily punching down and pumping over and macro aeration. Aging: 23 months in 64% new French oak and 36% in neutral French oak.-Winery Notes
