" The Chablis Sainte Claire is comprised of 100% Chardonnay from 30 year old vines with south-facing exposures in the Village of Préhy. Soils are Kimmeridgian with alternate layers of limestone and marls containing fossilized marine bodies, which give this Chablis its fresh & vibrant minerality. Planted 5,700 vines per hectare, all farmed biodynamically. The wine was fermented using native yeasts in stainless steel tanks and then aged in tank for 9 months. Malolactic fermentation completed. Jean-Marc BrocardView all from Jean-Marc Brocard
Jean-Marc Brocard learned the art of the vine with Emile Petit, his stepfather, and his cousin, P'tit Louis. In 1973, Jean-Marc Brocard chose to settle in Préhy and build his own Domaine in the middle of vineyards. Over the years, the quality of the wines of Jean-Marc Brocard has been recognized in France and around the world.
Jean-Marc's son, Julien Brocard, moved back to the family estate in the mid 90s after earning a degree in engineering, with a different outlook on the vine and its environment. Nowadays, a large part of the vineyard is cultivated according to the practices of organic and biodynamic farming. We still continue our work in order to improve the quality of our products."
