"Dark ruby purple core lightening to medium intensity at the rim with moderate staining on the glass. Aromatic black fruit of cherry and blackcurrant jam, baking spice, dried leaf and sweet tobacco. Full bodied with bright black cherry, blackcurrant and berry fruit with an underpinning of oak barrel accents on entry. The mid palate shows continued fruit with savory herbal notes, mint and a hint of violet. The finish is clean, long and layered with lingering dark fruit surrounded by soft chewy tannins balanced by crisp acidity and subtle floral notes."-Winemaker's Notes

"Justin and Deborah Baldwin acquired their land in 1981 and planted 72 acres in vineyards that same year. Initially they were wine growers, selling to other wineries. Then, in 1987, they harvested their first grapes bottled under the Justin label. Justin Winery concentrates on two Bordeaux styled red wines: Isoscleles, which is a 100% estate blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc and Justification, a blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Varietals are planted to specific soil types on their hillside vineyards 8 miles from the Pacific Ocean, on the Central Coast."-Winery Notes
About Justin Vineyards
At JUSTIN®, we combine traditional Old World methods--like hand-harvesting and small-barrel aging in French oak--with New World technology. For example: the "Air Knife," an ingenious process invented by our winemakers, boosts grape quality and efficiency.

Once the grapes are harvested, our winemakers-some of the best in the business-gather to sort, select, age, taste, blend and decide what goes into every bottle.

A Hole in One
"I travel the country by motorcycle raising awareness and funds, chasing the cure for Multiple Sclerosis. A glass of wine at the end of a long day is just what my doctor ordered for me. However, no matter how delicious the wine is, I usually forget the name by the time I get home. A year ago I was having dinner in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. A steak paired with a recommended class of Cabernet tasted way better than it should have! Maybe it was paying $90 for my dinner, maybe it was because my first born shares the name, but either way, I remembered the brand this time. JUSTIN. Hard to find it around here in New England and when I do it's about $35 a bottle. Was happy to see it was available by the case and appreciate the fast service. The wine has a smooth dry fruity taste with a wood grain finish. They also use real nice corks. #Longhaulpaul"
