5/5 stars
A bargain under $20 - Produced at high elevation, using over 70 year old vines, this sturdy, vibrant rioja offers complexity and structure rare at this price point. A blend of garnacha, tempranillo, and graciano, cherry, plum and vanilla notes marry well to a strong oak overtone, owing to the 6 years spent in French and American casks. Almost drinks like a Southern Rhone. A Perfect compliment for savory meats and cheeses.
