The 50 hectares of Léoville and the 17 hectares of Langoa planted in a gravelly soil on a clay subsoil, include a high proportion of old vines in order to obtain the best quality possible. The distribution of the grape varieties is 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 23% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc for Léoville Barton, while the Langoa Barton terroir is distributed between 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot and 9% Cabernet Franc. Both properties benefit from the same vinification methods.
