"Dark red. Pungent aromas of black raspberry, bitter cherry, spicecake and dried flowers. Smooth and broad on entry, then a bit tighter in the middle, with a subtle floral quality to the raspberry, cherry and bitter chocolate flavors. Finishes sappy and long, with firming tannins and a hint of cherry pit."

"Juicy and lively, with upfront fruit and texture, the 2011 Pinot Noir Logan seems also geared for immediate gratification with its supple cherry fruit and spice, medium-bodied richness and vibrant acidity. It too is a solid value that offers good typicity and should be consumed over the coming 2-3 years. Drink now-2016.
I was blown away by these current releases and across the board the wines show beautiful balance and loads of class. In addition, the Kali Hart and Logan releases are serious values that should not be missed!" ~ JD
" Named for Robb Talbott’s son, Robert Logan Talbott, the original 1994 vintage of Logan Pinot Noir was introduced in 1997. Since then, this estate-grown wine, produced exclusively using grapes from the acclaimed Sleepy Hollow Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands, has emerged as one of the most popular wines in the portfolio.
The Sleepy Hollow Vineyard is located in the northern part of the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA. This steep, hilly vineyard is split into three parcels, called North, South and West. Fruit for Logan Pinot Noir comes from Sleepy Hollow’s southern parcel, which is situated in the middle of the hill, where yields are kept low by naturally lean soils and meticulous pruning. With average yields of 2.5 tons per acre, the combination of mature vines and younger new clonal selections produces a complex, concentrated and nuanced wine. " ~ Winery notes
