Madonna Nera Brunello di Montalcino 2010

James Suckling 94
"This is gorgeously seductive where dried and burnt oranges come together with cherries. Full and super silky, leading to a long and flavorful finish. Fantastic wine from a new producer. Better in 2017."
Wine Advocate 91
"The 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Madonna Nera is a fleshy, fruity and oaky expression with loads of dark fruit intensity that emerges especially strong in this vintage. The wine takes an oak-forward approach to the Sangiovese grape with spice, cinnamon and vanilla that are well mixed within the black cherry, cherry and grilled herb. A few years of aging should help establish a better sense of balance. In the mouth, Brunello Madonna Nera offers tight textural richness with pretty accents of crushed mineral on the finish."
