"The 2014 Ercavio Roble is pure Tempranillo that followed a classical vinification, fermentation in stainless steel, malolactic fermentation in cement and a short aging (six months) in used French barriques. "The 2014 Ercavio Roble is pure Tempranillo that followed a classical vinification, fermentation in stainless steel, malolactic fermentation in cement and a short aging (six months) in used French barriques. The nose is very classic, too, nicely crafted, fine with a nice combination between berry and spice with subtle oak. It has a commercial profile in a very pleasant way. The palate shows very good volume and a fine texture with elegant tannins. It tastes like a much more expensive wine. This is superb value and a faithful representation of Tempranillo from La Mancha in a good vintage. 130,000 bottles produced."

Organic (Labeled Eco-Cert)
100% Cencibel (Tempranillo)

Saturated color with aromas of dark fruits, black pepper, and even a bit of licorice. On the palate, the wine has gobs of blackberry and currant flavors balanced with wild herb undertones and lively acidity.

Average age of vines is 50yrs. Stainless Steel Fermentation, Malolactic Fermentation in clay amphorae. Wine is aged for 5-8 mos in French & American oak.

Mas Que Vinos ErcavioTHREE FRIENDS, THREE ENOLOGISTS

Our beginnings as friends go back to La Rioja, where we met in 1998: Margarita Madrigal, Alexandra Schmedes and Gonzalo Rodríguez; three winemakers, each with a wide wine experience.

The beginnings of our own winery are located in Gonzalo's family winery in the town of Dosbarrios, located in the Ocaña Plateau not far from Toledo.

The respect for the wine tradition of this area made us create our winery here, basing our work on the philosophy of cultivating the native varieties: Cencibel, Garnacha, Malvar & Airén.

Fairly Complex for the Money

"Bright nose with some pepper and good fruit. Appealing flavors with a bit of tannin and a decent finish. Drinks more like a $15 bottle."
