The dress is light and crystalline, very pure with discreet green reflections. Rich and complex nose expressing the plurality of grape varieties. Exotic and citrus fruits blend with apricot and white peach with floral notes and white pepper. The mouth balances the expression of the fruit, the freshness and the roundness typical of our southern Ctes-du-Rhone. The delicate touch of bitterness in the final brings an extra dimension to the tasting, the touch!
Very gentle direct pressing from 2 to 5 hours - Cold moderate setting (6-8 C) from 24 to 48 hours. Slow fermentation at controlled temperature, 15 to 18 C to preserve the aromas and ensure a beautiful complexity - no malolactic fermentation. Aged in vats on lees for 4 months with stirring if necessary, to maintain a certain reducing environment, and gain roundness.
After more than 160 years, Ogier has grown to become one of the leading producers in the Rhne Valley. Most of its land holdings are in the Southern Rhne area producing wines from Chteauneuf-du-Pape, Gigondas, Vacqueyras and Lirac. The Estate also makes small but exceptional bottlings from parcels within the most notable appellations of the Northern Rhne - Crozes-Hermitage and Cte Rtie. Ogiers wines are an ode to finesse, elegance and freshness.

"Remain close to the source in order to better understand the constraints, but also harness its potential." This maxim guides Ogier's principles in producing some of the most awarded wines from the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation. The estate's vineyards are spread throughout several small valleys, covered in its hallmark round pebbles and stones. By reflecting the sun's heat, this stony soil enables grapes to retain exceptional levels of ripeness to produce large-bodied and complex wines that make Ogier one of the foremost houses in the Rhône Valley. More than 155 years ago, Ogier already distinguished itself in its search for excellence by establishing its winery where gushing Artesian wells are located. They allow the creation of ideal conditions for ageing, as our Côtes du Rhône Artesis testifies today.
