Item Description
"The grapes for the Rosa Mystica Cabernet Franc are grown on hillside vineyards from cooler sites in the Yakima Valley. There are few areas in the world that yield a stand alone Cabernet Franc. Normally used as a blending grape to enhance the aromatics of a Bordeaux blend, this grape usually is seen as inferior to the fuller-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon. Here, however, we have an area where the grape slowly ripens retaining full flavors that can be lost in warmer growing sites.
The vineyards yielded wonderfully rich fruit flavors with balanced acidity. Once in the winery, only minimal and traditional handling practices were employed to gently coax characteristics that are expressive of this fragrant and complex varietal." ~Winery notes
