"The 2021 Pinot Noir Planet Oregon is ripe with sweet aromatics of raspberry liqueur, moss-covered earth, and sweet herbs. The palate is generous and fresh with purple flowers, boysenberry, and cedar. This is a great value with a charming and open style to drink over the next 5 or so years."

"Medium ruby-purple, the 2021 Pinot Noir has alluring strawberry, raspberry and red cherry aromas with tones of graphite, bergamot and pepper. The light-bodied palate is soft, juicy and approachable with pretty, perfumed red berry fruits and a floral finish. This is a great value."

THINK PLANET We are committed to this planet and our place in it. We live and work in the agricultural heartland of Oregon, and are responsible for the care of this place and what we are given from it. That is why we grow our grapes in the most sustainable way we can. And when we harvest them, we create wine in a place where we monitor carbon emissions, energy use, and waste production.

DRINK OREGON Oregon is the cutting edge of the American beverage industry. People here have given up everything to pursue producing the best wine, beer, cider, and spirits in the United States. When you purchase a beverage made in Oregon, you can guarantee it was made from local products by people striving to make their voice heard on the shelf and in your home.

GIVE BACK In our work, we labor with the earth to create our products. It is our responsibility to give back accordingly. We farm sustainably, harvest with care, and craft with conscience. We support organizations like-minded in their work. That is why proceeds from Planet Oregon go to support the Oregon Environmental Council.
About Soter Vineyards
In the mid-1980s, Tony Soter began working as a consulting winemaker in the Napa Valley, assisting luminaries such as Araujo, Niebaum-Coppola, Shafer, Spottswoode, Viader and Dalla Valle. In 1982, he established his own winery – Etude – where he focused on Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon of noteworthy caliber and artisan focus. After years of mentoring and encouraging some of Napa Valley's most respected growers and winemakers, he ended his consulting roles to focus exclusively on Soter Vineyards and his family in the Willamette Valley of Oregon. The Soter's sole Estate vineyard today, Mineral Springs Ranch, is a 240-acre savanna-like oak woodland and grazing land located in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. It is the home to 30 acres of Pinot Noir originally planted in 2002. Two acres of Chardonnay were included in the 2006 plantings and are devoted entirely to method champenoise sparkling wine production. Located just east of the town of Carlton, the ranch is perched on a mesa with gentle slopes and commanding views of the surrounding Yamhill-Carlton District. Our production facilities and hospitality buildings are here as well, allowing us complete control of all operations.
