“This single-vineyard wine is richly structured and seriously impressive, coming from a parcel planted with Syrah and Touriga Franca. Dense, dark and opaque in color. Aromas of black fruits, mint, cardamom, and earth. Well-balanced with structuring tannins and a long, concentrated finish.

This is a single vineyard wine that has an interesting history. Pomegranates once grew here and the roots of the Syrah and Touriga Franca vines are intertwined with the old pomegranate tree roots, thus imparting unique characteristics to these wines.
After hand harvesting, vinification takes place in open tanks. 100% of the batch aged 20 months in new French oak barrels.

Monte da Ravasqueira

Monte da RavasqueiraLocated in the village of Arraiolos, one hour from Lisbson, Monte da Ravasqueira has maintained a three-generation link to the José de Mello family since 1943.

The vast area of typical Alentejo landscape and the unique geological and climactic conditions found here led José Manuel de Mello to believe that Monte da Ravasqueira had everything to be a producer of high quality wines.

The dream began to take shape in 1998 when, after a series of geological studies to choose the best grape varieties and the best spots, an old orchard gave rise to the first vineyards.

Today, Monte da Ravasqueira extends over approximately 3,000 hectares, a total of 15 different grape varieites distributed over 29 plots, planted in 8 distinct types of soil, which allow for the production of the region's best wines.
