Wine Spectator 93
"A wine with structure and presence, buoyed by a complex backbone of minerality, wrapped in refined dark cherry and black tea flavors and finishing with fine-grained tannins. Best from 2021 through 2029."
James Suckling 92
"This has attractive aromas of fresh, ripe red cherries with notes of fresh and dried herbs and forest bark. The palate has a very fresh, silky feel with intense, ripe red berries and cherries, set amid fine, elegant tannins. Drink or hold."
Wine Enthusiast 91
"The first Pinot of the new vintage from Jadots Oregon project, this has a soft entry into a palate with pomegranate and raspberry fruit. Theres a balanced herbal frame around the red fruits, and the overall structure suggests that this wine should age quite gracefully. Drink now through the 2020s."
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 91
"Medium ruby, the 2017 Pinot Noir has a nose of blackberries, raspberries and rhubarb with notes of dried leaves, tar, earth and mushroom. Medium-bodied, it has crunchy fruit, grainy and fresh with a long, fragrant finish."
Wine & Spirits 90
"Scents of dark plum and black cherry have a mild earthy, silty bass note. The flavors are taut, delivered with a sleek cherry-lozenge clarity."
The wine reflects a bright ruby color. The nose is very fresh and fruity, with a lot of red (strawberry, raspberry) and black fruits ( wild cherry, blackberry), enhanced by subtle floral and spicy aromas. Elegance and harmony describe precisely the palate. Tannins are present and fine, while the acidity brings a nice freshness, particularly long.
Pairs well with poultry or red meat, as well with heavier seafood and roasted vegetables.
