"Sashi Moorman and Rajat Parr make this elegant and rich style of Chardonnay, powerful and tense with light reduction and a palate of mango and pineapple, with white floral tones flowing beautifully into a balanced, acidic, minerally finish and long length. Could easily be confused with a good Meursault. Great value. Drinking Window 2018 - 2026"

Wine Advocate 91
"The 2015 Chardonnay Santa Barbara County reveals aromas of poached pear, smoke, grapefruit pith and peach kernel, framed by light reduction. On the palate, it's glossily textural and medium-bodied, with succulent and lovely balance. Structurally quite open-knit, this is the most accessible of Sandhi's Chardonnays. Drawing on a number of old-vine parcels across Santa Barbara County, this cuvée also benefits from the later press fractions from single-vineyard bottlings."

Vinous Media 90
"The 2015 Chardonnay (Santa Barbara County) is delicious. Soft and forward, with lovely depth at this level, the 2015 hits all the right spots. Peach, apricot pit, chamomile and dried flowers add nuance throughout. This is a gorgeous appellation-level wine. -- Antonio Galloni"

Tasting Notes:
The fruit for this bottling comes from our sites in the Sta. Rita Hills, Santa Maria and Santa Ynez appellations. The average age of most of the vines is over 30 years old from specific parcels of Wente selection that we are lucky to access. We are pleased with this entry-level offering because it is a great introduction to the style of our wines. It will always have pretty aromas of citrus flowers and fruit notes of limes and lemons along with toasty notes from oak. On the palate it will have good structure and plenty of restraint and balance making it a very food-friendly and approachable wine.
