Wine Spectator 89
"Rich and focused, this well-proportioned red offers a tight beam of blackberry, raspberry, spice, cedar and gravel notes, ending with chewy, gutsy tannins and good length. Drink now through 2022. 600 cases made. –JL"
" The grapes for this wine were farmed and picked on a row-by-row basis to ensure optimal ripeness. The fruit was then hand sorted and whole berry fermented in small lots. Aged in barrel for 22 months, this wine was neither fined nor filtered prior to bottling. " ~ Winery notes
"At Stewart Cellars, it's the quest that drives us. The quest for the ideal site, for consistently lush fruit, for the like-minded grower who labors towards the perfect expression of a given vintage. We build lasting relationships with vineyard owners and together with the help of our consulting winemaker Paul Hobbs we test the limits of what an exceptional patch of soul can yield. Our requirement for the resulting win is simple: it must deliver beyond expectation every time.
Stewart Cellars begins and ends with family. We are dedicated to making something tangible and enduring, something expressive of each person's gifts. Stewart was started in the year 2000 by Anne and Michael Stewart. Michael Stewart is very much the entrepreneur. Anne is the food and wine connoisseur who loves introducing people to our wines. James Stewart manages the day to day operations of Stewart Cellars and thrives on the complexity of running all aspects of the business. Caroline Stewart is honing her skills as she follows the world's harvest seasons preparing herself to take the Stewart family into the future as winemaker." --James Stewart
Stewart Cellars sources from some of the most coveted vineyards in both Napa Valley and the Russian River Valley. The Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Stagecoach Vineyards, Beckstoffer's Las Piedras, Dana Estate's Crystal Springs, and the Bayview Vineyard State Lane. Blending from each micro climate, Stewart 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon over deliver without fail. The Russian River Pinot Noir comes from one vineyard called Ross Station. Finally Stewart Sonoma Mountain Chardonnay comes from the Farina Vineyard.

Stewart Cellars was founded in 2000 by Michael and Anne Stewart with a philosophy to consistently produce fabulous Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon from some of the finest vineyards in the Napa and Russian River Valleys. With son James running the day to day operations and daughter Caroline joining the winemaking team, Stewart has become a family affair. Consulting winemaker Paul Hobbs takes great care in producing Stewart Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. All of the vineyards are cultivated to Paul's specifications, with fruit dropped periodically throughout the growing season to ensure even ripeness and good concentration.
