"This is a juicy, silky wine focused on berry fruit flavors in a plush structure, invitingly drinkable in its youth but with plenty of building blocks for development in the bottle. The complex aroma gives an intriguing impression of baked fruit pie, exuberant berry and cherry mingling with hints of vanilla, spice and smoke. The subtle, integrated aroma of toasted French oak is slowly exposed with time in the glass. The wine is fleshy on the entry, round, plush and velvety with just a touch of youthful tannic grip, appropriate for a young wine from a ripe vintage. The high-tone fruit flavors are braced with moderate acidity that make for a lively, mouthwatering structure. The berry fruit lingers in the finish, underlain with a subtle cocoa impression.

With son James running the day to day operations and daughter Caroline joining the winemaking team, Stewart has become a family affair. Consulting winemaker Paul Hobbs takes great care in producing Stewart Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. All of the vineyards are cultivated to Paul's specifications, with fruit dropped periodically throughout the growing season to ensure even ripeness and good concentration.
