"The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon Nomad is exotic, explosive and totally head-spinning. In this vintage, the Nomad is 100% Las Piedras fruit, and the pedigree of that site comes through in spades. Waves of dark fruit, new leather, licorice, smoke and tar saturate the palate as this full-bodied, juicy Cabernet Sauvignon shows off its extroverted personality. Despite its huge body the Nomad nevertheless possesses super balance all the way to the inky, resonant finish. I can’t wait to see how the 2010 ages. Anticipated maturity: 2020-2030." ~ AG

"Offers a powerful expression of Cabernet, with a wonderful sense of finesse and refinement. The core flavors of dark berry, currant, anise and licorice are intense and persistent, yet the interplay of flavors and textural subtleties add to the wine's intrigue. Best from 2014 through 2024. 209 cases made. " ~ JL

"Good, bright ruby-red. Blueberry, bitter chocolate, licorice, minerals, tobacco leaf and sexy oak spices on the nose. Dense but supple and pliant, with quintessential varietal flavors of cassis, licorice, fresh herbs and minerals. Harmonious acidity contributes to the impression of inner-mouth lift and perfume. Very refined and silky wine, finishing with fine-grained tannins and rising length. Sweet in the style of the year but not overly so. Has the concentration and freshness to age nicely."
" This is a meticulously expressive Cabernet Sauvignon from a vintage that required expert care in the vineyard and masterly craftsmanship in the cellar. This massive wine is a deep purple-ruby in color, nearly opaque in the density of its extract. The aroma opens with the complex notes of ripe Napa fruit, dark berries, plums and black cherry, shaded by herbal Sauvignon hints and subtly highlighted with the spice accents of French oak. The flavors reflect the aroma in a cascading flow of blackberry, dark cherry and purple plum notes extending into a long finish uplifted with pretty vanilla from barrel ageing. The wine has a huge feel in the mouth which will slowly turn to velvet with the many years it has to mature. " ~ Winery notes
