Ruby red with purple reflections, reveals to the smell a crisp intensity with fruity scents of Marasca cherry, plum and a puff of tobacco emerging among the notes of the fruits. The palate is beautifully pleasing, round body but absolutely agile thanks to its elegant freshness. Interesting closure with fruity appeal.

About the Winery
Two sisters followed their passion to build their own winery dedicated to organic viticulture, and in 2013, Trullo di Pezza was born. Simona and Marika Lacaita inherited the vineyard from their parents, who had been selling their grapes prior to their daughters involvement.
Trullo di Pezza is located in Torricella, just a few kilometers from Manduria, the heart of Puglias Primitivo country. The estate takes its name from an old farmhouse, or masseria, on the property dating back to 1830. With thirty hectares under vine, the sisters vineyards benefit from the Terre Rossa soil which is distinctive for its vivid red color, limestone richness and myriad of mineral deposits. Like the soil, here is where Primitivo shows its richest, most captivating and complex side. Additionally the positioning of their vines, with rows oriented north-to-south, allows for optimally even ripening.
All of the Trullo di Pezza wines are certified organic, and the fruit is harvested by hand. Of the farms thirty hectares, twenty are planted to Primitivo, five to Negroamaro, with the remainder shared between Aglianico and Fiano.
