"Ash, graphite and apricots are some of the notes that emerge from the NV Brut (Grand Cru). The Chardonnay fruit shows remarkable depth and tons of personality in this vivid wine. This is a stunningly beautifully entry-level wine from Varnier-Fanniere loaded with 2008 vintage character. This bottle was disgorged on May 5, 2011. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2015."

"made from chardonnay grown in Cramant, Avize and Oger, 70% of it from 2008 and the rest from 2007; disgorged May, 2011): Bright yellow. Ripe pear and pit fruits on the powerful, mineral-accented nose. Broad and fleshy on the palate, which offers juicy orchard and pit fruit flavors braced by a zesty orange pith nuance. Shows impressive power and clarity on the finish, which lingers with serious tenacity."

"A full-throttle, malt- and whole grain-infused Champagne, yet with a creamy texture and fine balance. Russet apple, grapefruit and honey tones round out the flavor profile, with a long, toasty aftertaste. Drink now through 2012." ~BS

"Disgorged 1/10. 30% 06 70% 07; super-pretty aromas, and this is the most enjoyable wine tasted yet (Id been to Gimonnet in the morning), thanks in large part to its ten measly grams-per-liter of rs, which is not needed to mitigate a flaw in the base wine, but to give perfume, grace, charm, nuance JOY. The same base wine, tasted without dosage, is interesting but dour. This is just crazy tasty." ~ Winery notes
