Great wine. We had it in Volterra, Italy and thrilled we could find it in the US.

Great food wine for the money - You can't beat this wine for an every day food friendly wine. It goes without saying that this works very well with typical Italian fare.

A great Italian red - Took it to an Italian restaurant. Great with everything! I had pasta with clams and calamari. My wife eggplant parmigiana.

You are kidding...a super Tuscan at this price! - WS put it in the top 100, and who can afford any of the other 99. More interesting to me is that Empire's neighbor just down the Hudson in Millbrook, John Dyson, makes this gem...along with the spectacular pinots from Williams Selyem and rising stars under the Millbrook label. Take notice folks. New York has a world-class winery proprietor who is Cornell educated, hands on, and dedicated to the best quality at a fair priceThis wine is just one good example. Check out the Millbrook ratings.

What? - Look, it's ok. But I'm sorry, Wine Spectator its not a top 25. I'd call this a drinkable table red, but nothing more. Don't get me wrong, its fine for the price, but that's as far as I can go.
