"Leathery, herbal aromas of black fruits, horsehide and murky earth lead to a medium-bodied palate with wiry acidity. Saucy, herbal tomato and plum flavors are typical of the variety, while the finish maintains the wine's true-to-form flavors."

The wine has a ripe fruit profile style with fresh and spicy notes and specially wild aromas from the organic management that we do. The mouth is soft and with minerals tannis and both things are due to the mediterranean macroclimate with a fresh mesoclimate (high influence from the Maipo river and fresh winds) and finally the soil is volcanic with high content of minerals and high percentage of angular rocks.

Vina TarapacaViña Tarapacá was founded in 1874, in the heart of the Maipo Valley. Our mission is to preserve the seal of high quality behind a wide range of wines focused on reds, today present in more than 60 countries worldwide. Tarapacá is part of the VSPT Wine Group, the second largest wine exporter and the first within the national fine wines market.

The vineyard is located in the Maipo Valley, the most traditional and prestigious valley in Chile for premium red wine production. It is a 2.700 hectares property, with only 611 planted with vineyards. The Mediterranean climate fosters a warm, dry growing season, allowing for wines with big body, mature tannins and medium acidity. The soil is of volcanic origin with medium depth and mainly angular stones.

fantastic

"soft slowly taste that is unexpected for the value of wine-reminded me of french wine- maybe because this wine has a toch of the original 1800's grapes brought to Chile"

Bert

An affordable rich red blend

"This wine is in regular rotation at Albany's Gingerman restaurant. As tasting notes indicate it's a rich blend and organically grown and produced. Great flavor for a very modest price."
