Perfumed nose of pineapple, oatmeal, toasty oak and a spicy, almost peaty character. Ripe golden fruits on the palate, rich attack with plenty of weight.-DM
A gorgeous white gold color, this Pouilly- Fuiss flaunts a complex nose of yellow flowers and ripe stone fruits which are complemented by light toasted notes of almonds and gingerbread. The palate is well-balanced, round and rich with fresh & light toasted flavors that linger on the long and fresh finish.-Winemaker Notes
The Auvigue family has been working its vineyard for generations, closely following traditional Burgundy methods. The grapes come from family estates or are carefully selected from the best areas of the Pouilly Fuisse, Saint Veran and Macon appellations. To allow each parcel to remain true to itself, Jean-Pierre and Michel Auvigue always adapt the vinification process to the climate. So the climates of La Frerie, Les Chailloux or Les Crays in the Pouilly Fuisse region are allowed to give their very best.
Brothers Jean-Pierre and Michel Auvigue run Vins Auvigue from the village of Charnay-les-Macon. They are the fifth generation of winemakers who started out in Beaujolais, their grandfather one of the first to commence domaine-bottling in the region during the 1940s. They only use organic products in the vineyards that are predominantly based around Solutre. Leaf thinning is usually eschewed and there is prudent use of oak in the winery.-Winery Notes

Vins Auvigue is a 6th generation family estate spanning 16.25 acres and residing in the heart of the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation. It faces the majestic Roche de Solutré which is pictured on the labels of all of their wines. Five of the 16 acres have been farmed organically for over 20 years in the Mâcon-Solutré and Pouilly-Fuissé appellations. The estate, which boasts a lengthy, thriving history as both a producer and a vintner, has received worldwide recognition for its acclaimed Mâcon wines. Vines are cared for with minimal intervention and vigilantly monitored to ensure that the soil receives all it requires in as precise a timeframe as feasible. Grapes that do not stem from the estate are rigorously selected from the best plots in the Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran and Mâcon appellations.
