In 2011 we began the process of conversion from conventional viticulture to organic. Have you ever seen a vineyard inconversion? Well to be honest, the vines struggle at first. They struggle because they are competing for food against all the weeds which appear when you stop spraying herbicides. And then they get stronger as their roots get deeper and stronger. In 2013, we went one step further and introduced biodynamic practices in the vineyard. We find that the vineyard is singing with the sounds of birds, bees and insects, and that there are wild flowers everywhere. It is vibrantly alive and the dynamism of this life is how it should be and is reflected in the grapes and the wine.
